I recently attended a PowerPoint Presentation by David Dilley of GWO on December 1, 2009.  Although the presentation was "somewhat" technical, I came away with  a clearer picture of the historical global weather occurrences.  The salient point for me was the 230 year weather pattern.  His presentations are most highly recommended.
